InvestIT, launched by TIEC, ITIDA, and Flat6Labs, is an innovative investment-readiness support program designed to empower ICT-enabled startups at the seed or pre-Series A stages from various governorates across Egypt. The program is designed aims to equip startups with essential tools, training, and resources to finalize investment deals successfully. By fostering a supportive ecosystem, InvestIT helps startups navigate the complex landscape of investment and growth.

What to Know Before Applying

InvestIT aims to support 12 startups to be investment-ready and well-connected to local and international investors. These startups should be leveraging any of the broad fields of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to create, deliver, or enhance their products or services.

InvestIT Program Process

The InvestIT program process is structured in several key phases to ensure a thorough selection and preparation for participating startups:

Open Applications

Applications are open for interested startups to apply to join the program through the online application. During this phase, we host 2 optional Info Sessions to answer all questions regarding the program’s timeline, offerings, selection process, and more.
Filtration & Interviews

Applications are filtered and the program’s team from Flat6Labs and TIEC sets one-on-one interviews with the top applicants to take a closer look at their solution, progress to date, team, and potential to scale. After that, 25-30 startups from the interviews will be shortlisted to take investment readiness reviews.
Preparation Phase

Once 12 startups are selected to join the program, they will join a 6-week intensive program, receiving individualized coaching on how to effectively pitch their startup to investors and tailored support in developing investment-related documents.
Investor Engagement

Upon completion of the preparation phase, the startups will get the opportunity to be connected with potential investors, with continuous support and guidance from our team through the due diligence process.

Selection Criteria

To ensure that the most promising startups are selected for the program, the following criteria must be met:

• Stage of Development: Your ICT-enabled startup should be at seed or pre-Series A stages to apply, indicating that you have a launched product or service.
• Legal Registration: Your startup must be a legally registered entity in Egypt, providing the necessary legal framework to operate and engage with investors.
• Operational History: Your startup must be operational in Egypt for at least 2 years before the program’s starting date, demonstrating stability and the ability to execute its business plan.
• Founding Team: The founding team should consist of two or more members, ensuring a collaborative approach to problem-solving and innovation.
• Commitment to Participation: Your team must be committed to attending all activities, sessions, and events within the program’s duration, as active participation is crucial for maximizing the benefits of the program.
