“Innovation and Design Thinking for Government Leaders” is a series of workshops targeting governmental leaders and decision-makers. The program aims to foster and reinforce innovation and design thinking concepts for public servants. It is the know-how to withstand crises and drive and sustain the kind of growth that improves the quality of life for everyone in society.














Overview

“Innovation and Design Thinking for Government Leaders” is a series of workshops launched on 15 July 2020. Leaders and decision-makers in the government sector are the target audience of this program.With a vision to introduce concepts of innovation, creativity and intrapreneurship* to civil-service employees, the program fosters and reinforces innovation and design thinking concepts for government leaders.We seek to help public employees better serve citizens. Transferred knowledge supports officials and leaders in the government in several areas. It helps them provide a solution-based approach to solve problems through applying the design thinking methodology. They can also practice innovation tools and techniques as well as how to use them. This learning introduces the process of implementing new approaches to tackle old problems.

Objectives
  • Practice some of innovation tools and how to use them
  • Offers a brief about the concept of Government 2.0
  • Apply design thinking methodology.
  • Provide the trainees the methodology of challenge formulation (problem)
  • Offer the concepts of innovation, creativity and intrapreneurship
  • Discuss how to benefit from the application of this workshop in the development of government services and contribute to the system of government excellence.
