About the competition:
Entrepreneurship World Cup is a global competition organized by the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), Misk Global Forum and the Global Education and Leadership Foundation (tglef).
The competition is hosted in Egypt by GEN Egypt. EWC is more than just a global competition with various opportunities to win prizes that could change many entrepreneurs’ lives. With 100,000 participants from all over the world, the competition raises the level of entrepreneurs by providing them with the tools and resources to grow their businesses. The competition accepts ideas and startups in the idea stage, early stage, growth stage or beyond to put entrepreneurs on the right track. EWC consists of five stages, the first stage (Accelerator 1), the second stage (the national competition), the third stage (Accelerator 2), the fourth stage (the global competition) and the fifth stage is post-competition support.
Phases of (Accelerator 1 and 2) aim to help entrepreneurs unleash their ideas and hone their skills in presenting their ideas and startups, while the national and global competitions aim to engage them with a global network of mentors and experts, as well as introducing different job and investment opportunities.
Local winners compete for the chance of being qualified to the global competition for the chance of winning $1 million in cash prizes in addition to in-kind prizes.
