Dr. Dalia Gamal
Academia Innovation Support Unit Manager in the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center in Egypt (TIEC), She has joined in October 2010. Her past experience in project management  was started since 2001 she joined MCIT  in “PC for every home” national project. She also had experience in ITIDA as projects manager in “research and Innovation Support” department. She worked  also as business process consultant in CEMEX. Currently she is working as “Academia Innovation Support Unit Manager” in TIEC.

Dalia holds a doctorate degree in strategic management  from  Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport”  (2011), with concentration in knowledge management and organizational innovativeness . she also holds  MBA from the same institute with a concentration in strategic management (2005). Dalia has  B.Sc. degree in automatic control and computers, school of engineering from Assiut University. Dalia also is PMP since 2010.

Eng. Haitham Hamza
Haitham S. Hamza is the R&D Department Manager at the Software Engineering Competence Center (SECC) of ITIDA. He is currently managing the FP7 Project entitled REinforcing COoperation CApacity of Egypt in embedded ubiquitous computing (RECOCAPE) that is coordinated by SECC-ITIDA in a consortium that contains Tecnalia of Spain, VTT of Finland, and UNIBO of Italy. Dr. Hamza has delivered several consultation services to IT companies in Egypt and abroad in various areas related to IT service management, CMMI for development and services, and software architectures and reuse.

Dr. Hamza is an Associate Professor of Information Technology at Cairo University, Egypt. He received the B.S. (Honors) and the M.S. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt, in 1998 and 2001, respectively. He received the M.S. and the PhD degrees in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) in 2002 and 2006, respectively. He is a Fling fellow to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

He has more than 90 papers published in international conferences and journals in various areas in IT including computer and communication networks, software engineering, and computer science education issues.

Eng. Hesham Wahby
is Co-Founder and CEO of Innoventures. Based in Cairo, he is responsible for the company's strategy and organization, creating and maintaining partnerships, access to potential ventures, and coaching entrepreneurs. In addition, Hesham is also Principal, Egypt & Middle East for Mercator XXI, a professional services firm helping clients engage the global economy.

Innoventures LLC was founded in 2011 as an innovation platform to support high-impact startup businesses in a number of industry opportunity areas. The company runs a startup incubation program called Startup Reactor, and is developing a venture fund focusing on clean technology, energy, electronics, ICT platforms, media and market intelligence. Innoventures has also designed and managed a number of community outreach activities, most notably the Start with Google competition.

Hesham has a background of 12 years in the technology industry, as well as experience with entrepreneurial ventures. His previous career roles have ranged from high-tech engineering to business strategy, with companies including Mentor Graphics, Scenario Design Services, and Human Network Labs. Hesham has also been involved in economic development initiatives in Egypt through the IEEE and the Global Entrepreneurship Week. Hesham holds an MBA from the Wharton School, with a concentration in Entrepreneurial and Strategic Management, and also holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Cairo University.

Hesham Zahran
Based on Alexandria with a Degree in Sociology and a Diploma in Human-Computer Interaction, Hashem initially started his career as a Web and Graphic Designer for a firm in Alexandria that specialized in Cutting Edge Web Technologies. In late 2010 Hashem Joined eSpace Technologies and lead their design team and managed to work closely with some of TechStars graduates. In 2011 Hashem joined the Startup Weekend Global Facilitators Team and started to evangelize the startup ecosystem in his own town and since then he has been known as the Godfather of Alexandrian Startups. He has involved in and initiated several Startup Communities in Alexandria including SUMUAlex & Alexandria Startup Club with a mission to foster and empower entrepreneurship eco-system within Alexandria.

Hashem is now a co-founder in a few tech Startups including Tabshora and WalletIO, He is also co-directing the newly opened chapter of The Founder Institute in Egypt to help empowering young entrepreneurs along with his main firm Cloud7Labs which provides a 6-week pre-incubator program focused on the first phase of launching a web or mobile startup.

Eng. Hossam Elgamal – GNSE
In 2003, Eng. Elgamal partnered with prominent Egyptian Industry Leaders (the Mansour familly), a German and a Saudi entrepreuneurs and assumed the challenge of building GNSE (www.gnsegroup.com), bringing it from 10 to 100 people, guiding it to become a leading provider of e-security solutions and services and a renowned organisation in higher education elearning content authoring, corporate and industrial e-training with successful projects in EU and ME and increasing the company value from EGP2M to almost EGP100M in 2012.

Eng. Elgamal graduated in Telecommunications and Electronic Engineering from Ain Shams University in 1991. He worked his executive diploma in Business Administration in1999 at the Arab academy of science & technology in collaboration with university of Illinois. In 2000, he attended Software Capability Development program at CBI in the Netherlands, then graduated from Senior Executive Program in Ahmed Abad Institute of Management in cooperation with FGF in 2006.

Eng. Elgamal professional experience is a blend of Technical, International Business Development, and General Management.Within the World of international Business Development, he has become renowned for his vision and ability to foresee future opportunities and execute technical and marketing strategy to deliver successfully.

Among others Eng. Elgamal established in 2008 with a European partner Edrac (www.edrac.com) to serve in bridging the technology and Human resources capacity needs between EU and Egypt. Also Eng. Elgamal established in 2011 with 4 prominents ICT entrepreuneurs AGORA to serve in providing B2C mobility solutions and services with plans to expand globally.

Along with the professional career, Eng. Elgamal started his NGO activities since College, but among others he mainly initiated the French Speaking Engineers Association www.aife-egypte.org in 1993 and became its first chairman, with a prestigious elected board. The association provided Seminars, Workshops, projects, work and training for the engineers as well as scientific, culture and social events. As part of the activities, AIFE partnered in 2010 with the ministry of higher Education for the activities of French Egyptian year of Science and Technology.

Eng. Elgamal is just elected Vice- Chairman of Eitesal www.eitesal.org, while he was a board member of and chairing its Software Division with 130 members for the last 2 years catering them and all the SW industry with required activities to boost their business development, technical and entrepreunership capabilities, he is among others member of of several committees in ICT chamber, the AMCHAM and the CANCHAM.

Eng. Elgamal is actively participating as a leading member of the esecurity and eknowledge transfer community in Egypt, participating in formulating the awareness and maturity strategy.

Eng. Hossam Samy

Hossam is the strategic relation Manager for Intel Middle East Mobile Innovation Center “MEMIC” where MEMIC is Intel research arm in Middle East that builds, operates and manages all Intel research labs in the region.

He has more than 13 years of experience in ICT industry. Throughout his career, Hossam gained extensive experience in management, business development and System Engineering.

Hossam Joined Intel in 2010, as a Business Development Manager for Intel Center of Excellence for Wireless Applications CEWA located at Saudi Arabia; later on he was assigned to the role of Strategic relations Manager for Intel MEMIC.

Prior joining Intel, Hossam has been working in Huawei for more than five years as a vice-director for WiMAX products in North Africa, he was responsible for marketing Huawei products in the region. He had participated in several projects with key operators in the region. He had also represented Huawei in many local, regional and international events.

Hossam also worked for Motorola for five years as a wireless system Engineer. While working for Motorola, Hossam had participated in several wireless projects in Africa & Middle East countries.

Hossam holds an MBA from American university in Cairo (AUC), and a B.Sc. in telecommunications from Ain Shams University in Cairo.

Eng. Khaled Adel Khalifa

Director of Innovation support at the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center in Egypt (TIEC). has over 15 years of experience in the ICT sector in areas related to research and Innovation support. Sally participated in developing the Egyptian Technology Innovation & Entrepreneurship strategy and Establishing the Innovation & Entrepreneurship platform, The Collaborative Innovation Network (CoIN) , Cloud Computing Competency center .

Before establishing (TIEC), Sally was the manager of Research and Innovation Support Department Manager at the Egyptian Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) . Sally worked as a Process Consultant at the Quality Assurance Institute India . She established the project management office at HARF Corporation; worked as program manager at EDS- HP .

Sally holds a Master of Management of Technology, Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, PMP , Post graduate certificate in software skills Development from ITI and has B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.

Dr. Sherif Aly
Sherif Aly is an Associate Professor with Tenure, and Associate Chairman at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of The American University in Cairo. Dr. Aly received his Bachelor of Science from AUC, and subsequently his Master of Science and Doctor of Science degrees from the George Washington University. Prior to joining the American University in Cairo, Dr. Aly worked as a Senior Member of Technical Staff for General Dynamics Network Systems in Egypt, as a Research Scientist at the Internet Architecture Research Lab of Telcordia Technologies in New Jersey, and as a Guest Researcher for the Advanced Network Technologies Division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Maryland.

Dr. Aly is a recipient of the renowned Egypt State Prize in 2006 for his scholarly activities. During his doctoral studies at the George Washington University, he was nominated for the Trachtenberg teaching award for his current scholarship and scholarly debate.

From 2005-2009, Dr. Aly coached students from the American University in Cairo to participate in the world-renowned ACM Intercollegiate Programming Contest where, on multiple occasions, AUC teams won first position at both the national and regional levels, and amongst approximately one percent of worldwide contest participants, competed twice in the World Finals of the contest.

Dr. Aly’s main research interests involve Mobile and Pervasive Computing, Software Engineering, Programming Languages. Dr. Aly has a significant number of journal, conference, and book chapter publications in his domains of interest.

Besides his regular academic responsibilities, Dr. Aly participates in consultation activities in his domain. He is a visiting senior scientist at the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center. He is also a member of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs, and Vice-Chairman of the American University in Cairo Senate.

Eng. Walaa Mohamed Atef

He is Microsoft Egypt’s Windows 8/Windows Azure Technical Evangelist. He is a member of the Developers and Platforms Evangelism team.

Walaa was graduated from Ain Shams University with B.SC. in Engineering in year 2000.

He has more than 12 years of rich IT experience. Has pleayed the roles of, Developer, Senior Developer, Team Leader, Project Manager, Business Analyst and Technical Consultant. Working for Raya, BASS, Integrated Knowledge Dynamics, TEA Computers, Improvision & Etisalat.

He has been delivering solutions for notable local, regional & international customers in the public, private, telecom & banking sectors.

At Microsoft he has a key mission of engaging the broad community of developers and driving excitement around developer tools and platform technologies to drive adoption/Apps.

Eng. Abdelrahman Magdy
Abdelrahman Magdy is the Founder & CEO of Egypreneur a platform inspiring and supporting entrepreneurs in Egypt. After several experiences in leadership positions in youth activities and starting and running his business, Abdelrahman had been investing his energy in the last couple of years in setting up a platform to inspire, network and support entrepreneurs in Egypt.

Eng. Abdelrahman Wahid
Abdelrahman Wahid is the founder and Managing Director of Cloud11, he founded it in January 2011, he has a strong sales background in telecom industry for 11 years, with passing through different sales positions from being a team player until a Sales Manager in different companies he succeeded in increasing sales and managing customers requests in a very professional way.

Marwa Zaghow
Marwa Zaghow is a Marketing and universality relationship Program Manager at EMC. Marwa has more than 15 years of experience in the IT industry. She has been working as Business Development and Marketing Manager at Mentor Graphics since January 2006 till 2011 as a business development at Marketing Manager in the MENA Region. Before that, she was a Marketing Co-coordinator at Alkan, Thuraya Satellite Telecommunication. Marwa also worked at Xerox as a High End printing system Account Manager.

Marwa Zaghow obtained her MBA degree from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, Scotland . She is a Chartered Marketer since 2002 from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, England.

Eng. Mohamed Aboud
Mohamed Aboud is a Business Development Consultant at Science Age, he has more than 12 years experience in R&D activities and business development, he worked as business development manager in the Arab Science and Technology Foundation (ASTF) for 3 years.

After university he joined a national company as a technical engineer , then he established R&D department that developed many products in ( wireless communication , remote metering and data messaging) , in addition Mohamed established IEEE GOLD Group that aims to promote engineering process of creating, developing, integrating, sharing, and applying knowledge for the benefit of Egyptian community, it’s also aims to encourage entrepreneurship concept between engineers and implement programs that help them to develop their own business, he started it since 2002 and now it becomes the most active GOLD group in the IEEE region 8, which contains Europe, Africa, and Asia.

M. Aboud was vice chair for IEEE Zagazig Student Branch, IEEE R8 SBC2002 Chair, IEEE GOLD Egypt chair since 2002 to 2006, IEEE R8 GOLD team coordinator for north Africa and Medial East since 2005. He was a member of IEEE communications society, and member of IEEE management society.

Eng. Rasha Tantawy
Parallel to TIEC, Rasha Tantawy is a teaching assistant at Nile University, Management of Technology. Her fields of interest are open innovation, strategic management, entrepreneurship and social media marketing. Prior to that, Rasha worked as an administrator at the Arab Academy and as a teaching assistant at Pharos University and University Senghore.

She worked at HartMann Egypt as a regional manager in the construction field before cofounding her own business in the packaging of agriculture exports where she is currently on the board of advisors. Rasha is a serial entrepreneur; she enjoys mentoring and guiding young entrepreneurs with their business plan and pitching. Rasha cofounded Gemiza.net a startup service agency.

Born in Alexandria, Egypt and residing in Cairo, Ms. Tantawy is graduate of Alexandria Engineering School with a Masters in civil Engineering, a Masters in Management of Technology and currently a PHD candidate in strategic Management.

Tamer Ahmed
Tamer Ahmed has 17 years of experience in the IT field, Most of it in the R&D field with special focus on innovation. He works currently for Orange R&D lab as the program manager for broadband, portals and multimedia in emerging countries. He is responsible for the launch of new telecommunication services that are considered innovative in MENA region. He worked previously for multinational telecommunication giants like Sprint and Orange Business services. He has special interests in mobile and web applications. He holds a B.Sc. in systems and biomedical engineering from Cairo university and a diploma in Medical Laser applications from Cairo Univ. Laser Institute.

Eng. Yehia Tharwat

Yehia Tharwat (MBA, M.Sc. Engineering) Co. Founder & CEO of Link Egypt With a desire to build a professional environment with a social conscience in the company , Yehia Tharwat became an entrepreneur and founded Link Egypt Software with a believe of the values the ICT and Internet can bring to the community. Link Egypt is specialized in Rich Internet Applications and Next Generation Software, with a special focus on eCommerce, eTourism,. In early 2009 Yehia founded EIMMS, an online tourism company aimed at change the way tourism is being managed in Egypt. Yehia currently serves as the CEO of EIMMS.
